Purcell • Yongue • Pierce Banquet

Under the leadership of Immediate Past Party Chairman Walter Jackson III, we began the BiAnnual Purcell/Yongue Banquet in recognition of the service and commitment to our community by Senator William Purcell and Representative Doug Yongue.

This year, we proudly build upon their legacy by adding the name and honor of Representative Garland Pierce to the banquet. It is our way of expressing gratitude for his more than 20 years of dedicated servant leadership and commitment to the people of our community.

Join us for an evening of celebration, fellowship, leadership, and appreciation as we honor those who have helped shape Scotland County through service and sacrifice.

Property Tax Revaluations: The Party is Fighting for You!

On Monday, April 6th, Chairman Darrel (BJ) Gibson spoke at the County Commissioner Meeting concerning Property Tax Revaluations. He submitted our SCDP Resolution "Calling for Transparency and Public Engagement in the 2026 Property Tax Revaluation" as well a sample of informational material. At this time, the county website does not have a simple and comprehensive explanation for the Appeals Process or Tax Relief Programs.

To bridge the gap, we have created a RESOURCE and will be providing information sessions through Town Halls and Affiliated Organization meetings.
